Selection Process
The selection will be based on two stages:
- Preliminary Examination: An objective-type test[span_54](end_span). Candidates equal to five times the total number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Mains.
- Main Examination: A separate advertisement will be published for the main examination.

- Nature of Exam: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions).

Syllabus (Preliminary Exam)
- General Studies: Current events (scientific progress, national/international awards, Indian languages, books, script, capital, currency, sports, important events). Questions related to India and its neighboring countries (history of neighboring countries, history of India, culture, geography, economic scenario, freedom movement, major features of Indian agriculture and natural resources, Constitution and polity of India, country's political system, Panchayati Raj, community development, Five Year Plans, and Bihar's contribution to the national movement).
- General Science and Mathematics:
- General Science: Matric-level questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geography.
- Mathematics: Questions related to the Number system, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, average, interest, and profit & loss.
- Mental Ability Test: Both verbal and non-verbal reasoning questions, including topics like analogy, similarity and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, arithmetical number series, and coding-decoding.
